20 Free Sunday Newspapers

Even though there weren't many earth shattering deals this week, I still like to stock up on my coupons when I can - you never know if those coupons will work with a great deal in an upcoming week's ad! This morning (Monday) I was able to get 20 free newspapers. I'll tell you how.

I'm not a morning person but I get up especially early on Monday mornings (6am). I have about 4 convenience stores within a couple miles of my home. I went to all of them and asked if they had any unsold Sunday papers that they were going to throw away. One store said they already threw them out, but the other 3 stores let me have what was left over & unsold. One of the stores said they have to give the papers back to the company but allowed me to take out the coupon inserts.

20 free newspaper inserts at $1.50 each would have cost me $30! Now that is a great savings :)

  1. I love your site. I was wondering is there a trick to how many newspapers you buy every Sunday? I like how you tried to gather papers that would have been thrown away. Would love it if you could post about that.

  2. I did that once (going around to my surrounding three gas stations) and they wouldn't let me have any of them. Turns out, one of the girls who works at the gas station nearest my house told me that her manager takes all the inserts and returns the paper!
