Rite Aid's new coupon policy

You've probably heard that Rite Aid has a new coupon policy.  Well let me tell you, it's a doozy!   It has me re-thinking my entire couponing strategy now.  I was just beginning to love Rite Aid too.  They seemed to have some great deals when I could match them up with my coupons.

What's changed with their new policy? Well two things specifically will change the way I shop with them.

First - You can no longer combine a Buy One Get One Free sale with a Buy One Get One Free coupon.  In most stores you can combine these and get both items FREE.  And up until last week you could do this at Rite Aid too.  But no longer.

Second - Rite Aid accepts Buy One Get One Free coupons, however only one coupon can be used for each pair of items purchased. Now this really irritates me, because you are actually buying TWO products, and you are allowed to use TWO coupons when you buy TWO items.  And yes, I know one of them is free, but you are still buying it.  If you aren't buying it, then you are stealing it.  So which is it?  And actually, they run these deals to make it look like you're getting one free - but actually all they are doing is selling them to you for 1/2 price.

So now I think I may just use Rite Aid for the things I can get completely free, and just price match everything else they have on sale at Walmart.
